A connected market universe.

Ownership and cash flows connect equities to enterprise economics. Discount rates, duration and credit link bonds, Treasuries and municipals to financing conditions. Currencies connect relative prices and cross-border capital. Futures and options transfer exposure across price, volatility and time.

Physical markets add production, consumption, storage, transport, quality and delivery constraints. Energy, metals, agriculture, livestock and soft commodities are examples, not the boundary. Basis and carry connect spot, forward and futures relationships; collateral and liquidity can matter as much as the direction of a price move.

Study market structure, execution, positioning, cross-asset correlations and regime changes together. This educational map does not imply a GCP trading mandate or recommendation for each market.

Start with the exposure.

  • What is moving: price, spread, volatility, liquidity or correlation?
  • Which physical flow or inventory constraint matters?
  • How does the forward curve relate to the operating horizon?
  • Where does financial positioning diverge from physical exposure?
  • What changes under a different regime?
  • Which decision follows—and which observation is merely noise?

Three questions here have exact answers.

Three questions on this page have exact arithmetic. What a price move means in currency for a position — direction, quantity, contract multiplier and total costs — is the Trading Profit calculator. What cash a declared, dated margin requirement demands while a position or hedge is on is the Margin calculator. How many units fit inside a declared risk budget, stop distance and costs is the Position Sizing calculator.

Each takes the visitor's own inputs and states its limits: no live quote, no inferred requirement, no suitability, no recommendation. They serve the RIA tactical mandate, the CTA program and corporate hedging as informational scenarios only; program access, Qualified Client and QEP reviews remain separate.

Trading Profit

Every point has an economic consequence.

Direction, quantity, contract multiplier and total costs determine the scenario result.

What it calculates
Gross P/L = signed quantity × multiplier × (exit − entry). Net P/L = gross P/L − total costs.
What it does not calculate
  • User supplies instrument units and multiplier. No live quote, FX, execution, position or tick-size convention is inferred.
  • Short positions reverse the price-change sign. Fees are total costs, not per-contract costs.
What you enter
